  will explain geospatial systems\, their key defining features and how the
 y can integrate with other key information systems in the enterprise. Paul
  will also discuss examples of applications\, including those from Google\
 , Yahoo and Microsoft\, and the privacy issues they provoke\, as well as f
 uture developments in the field of geospatial systems.\n\nAbout Paul\nPaul
  is an Associate Director at Jacobs Consultancy\, part of an international
  professional services company employing over 60\,000 staff worldwide. Ori
 ginally trained in the fields of architecture and surveying\, an enforced 
 career change in the early 90s led to his becoming a chartered Transport P
 lanner. He also holds two BCS charterships and is a registered PRINCE2 pra
 ctitioner.\n\nPaul specializes in the specification and construction of re
 gional and sub-regional transport models used to formulate and evaluate lo
 cal and national transport policy and to develop the business case for maj
 or transport schemes and interventions. He has been an advocate of GIS sin
 ce he first came into contact with the technology 16 years ago. Within his
  profession he continues to promote stronger integration of GIS technology
  with transport modelling tools and techniques and wider use of geodemogra
