 ation with data-driven technology is changing the way that organisations m
 ake decisions. This offers some real opportunities\, but also creates chal
 lenges. In this talk we’ll explore some of the ways that organisations\,
  regulators and others can work together to make sure that this technology
  is used fairly and safely.\nAbout the Speaker\nMark works for the Centre 
 for Data Ethics &amp\; Innovation\, a UK government body responsible for h
 elping policy-makers and delivery teams address the risks and enable the o
 pportunities from data-driven technology. He leads a portfolio of work inc
 luding CDEI’s Review into Bias in Algorithmic Decision-Making published 
 last year. Prior to joining CDEI in 2019\, he worked in a variety of techn
 ology strategy\, architecture and cyber security roles in the UK governmen
 t\, as a software engineer\, and completed a PhD in theoretical physics.
