 out\nBook Now\nThe tour starts at the Martyrs' Memorial (positioned at the
  intersection of St Giles'\, Magdalen Street and Beaumont Street\, just ou
 tside Balliol College) with a general introduction to the city\, its golde
 n scientific record and a reference to the major scientific figures who’
 ve been associated with the colleges visible from there.\n\nThen a walk to
 wards the Museum of the History of Science\, more information about the ma
 jor figures associated with that area and its buildings (location of found
 ing of Royal Society\, Wren\, aspirin\, etc.\, etc.) - with a promise to f
 inish back at the MHS*\n\nFollowed by a walk through the world-famous Bodl
 eian Library which dates back to 15th Century. We stop to hear about the e
 arly days of science at Oxford and the importance of the library and its m
 edieval schools in moving science forward (first dissections\, etc.).\n\nT
 hen into the heart of Oxford’s scientific past: Radcliffe Square\, the f
 ormer Apothecaries’ Quarter\, including the first building specially bui
 lt for science at Oxford\, the colleges of famous ground-breaking scientis
