Synopsis
John Noakes will discuss Microsoft’s strategy, direction and roadmap for the coming years with an emphasis on client, server and cloud computing. He will also feature the Microsoft Software + Services strategy, Windows 7, the future of Office, Windows Azure and the “3 Screens & A Cloud” approach to the future of computing.

John Noakes

Microsoft Limited
John Noakes works in the Corporate Accounts Sales team at Microsoft Limited. His role is to position and sell the Microsoft Enterprise Software Platform to 1,700 mid-market customers via Microsoft’s account managers and relevant transactional, ISV and Systems Integration partners.
He has worked at Microsoft since June 1998 in a variety of sales and market-making roles, covering areas as diverse as Internet Technologies, eCommerce, Software Development and Business Intelligence. He has been involved in Microsoft’s .NET technology since it’s inception in June 2000.
Prior to joining Microsoft in June 1998, John worked at IBM for 10 years, also in sales and marketing positions. He holds qualifications with the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Before joining the IT industry, John spent 14 years in the Merchant Navy as a Navigating Officer with the latter 3 years as Captain. A Geordie (and avid Newcastle United fan J) by birth and upbringing, he now lives in Hampshire with his wife and 4 children.
