In order to maintain a thriving BCS Branch we need an active and enthusiastic Committee. We are always looking for “new blood” so please consider volunteering.
The committee runs and manages the Branch, so being part of the committee allow you to help steer and evolve the group.
However from a personal perspective, one of the biggest benefits in joining the committee is that it gives you a chance to do things outside of your “day job”. Serving on a voluntary committee gives you a chance to take on leadership roles that go above and beyond the boundaries of your everyday professional life. The experience equips you with invaluable leadership skills, allowing you to steer a cause, collaborate with diverse personalities, and make strategic decisions. In addition, it can be quite fun!
