Wendy Harrison, 1st Idea Ltd

Was a lack of transparency complicit in the 2008 financial crisis costing the UK economy £7.4 trillion (BoE)? Are financial products just as opaque now, 11 years on? How can we meet the regulatory challenges of increased transparency in light of past events and the rise of Digital Currencies and Crypto Assets? In this discussion, we’ll look at the anatomy of these products and compare different taxonomic methods and explore whether deploying smart pattern-matching techniques resolves the taxonomy dilemma.

Meetings are free to attend and non-BCS members are welcome. It is helpful to us if you register, for catering purposes, but not essential.
